I have sat across the table from thousands of clients navigating the biggest financial decisions of their lives — a business exit, a divorce, retirement, an estate. And in almost every one of those conversations, somewhere in the first hour, we arrive at the same moment: they wish someone had taught them this earlier.
Your Next Chapter™ is that earlier. It is a personal finance curriculum designed for high school students — built around the decisions they will actually face in the five years after graduation, not hypothetical examples from a textbook. Every unit produces a real artifact. The capstone is a complete financial plan for their specific life after high school. Students leave with a document they will use.
I built it because I could. I have a CFP®, a JD, an MBA, and 14 years of watching what happens to people who make major financial decisions without preparation. This curriculum is the thing I wish had existed when my own seven children were learning about money for the first time.

One Philosophy. Two Expressions
Renovo Financial Insights is the education arm — the marketing name for Your Next Chapter™ and any future curriculum products. It is a DBA of Reviresco, LLC.
Reviresco Financial Planning & Wealth Management is the financial advisory practice — the LPL Financial affiliated firm that serves individuals, families, and business owners navigating life's biggest financial transitions.
The name Reviresco is Latin for 'I grow strong again.' It reflects restoration, resilience, and hope.
The word Renovo is Latin for 'I renew' or 'I restore.' Both names come from the same root impulse: helping people navigate a consequential transition and come out stronger on the other side.
The curriculum and the practice are legally separate entities. The Renovo site offers educational products. Personal financial planning conversations happen at reviplanning.com.
Local Roots
Your Next Chapter™ was built in Monroe, Michigan — and built first for Monroe County students. Mark hosts the Monroe County Conversations podcast, interviewing local leaders, entrepreneurs, and community builders. The curriculum reflects that community-first orientation: real careers, real salaries, real cost of living in places like southeast Michigan. The curriculum is designed to be portable — state adaptation guides make it immediately deployable in any state. But its heart is local. A student in Monroe County researching apprenticeship wages for a local trade, or budgeting for an apartment in the Monroe-Toledo metro area, is working with numbers that are real to them.
That local orientation is not a Michigan feature — it is a design principle. The curriculum is built around real data sources: the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook for career and wage research, local rental listing sites for housing costs, and regional utility and transportation averages. When a student in a rural district researches what a welder earns in their county, or a student in an urban district models the cost of a one-bedroom apartment in their zip code, they are working with numbers that reflect their actual community — not a national average that belongs to no one. The curriculum does not tell students what their life will look like. It gives them the tools to research it themselves, wherever they are.
